Is a Mini Van able to support a certain amount of weight?

So we have old but in good condition 2001 Dodge Caravan. It carries 7 people and back in day it was able to take us to the coast and other places. So its 2011 and were taking a 4 day vacation do Disneyland, which is in Anaheim CA. So were planning to take the van but what I want to know if is can carry 7people which equals 1000pounds. Is it able to take us from Tulare CA, to Anaheim CA. If you have an answer you'll be a life saver!! Thanks for your time!
